This is what we were looking for. We went horseback riding and hiking—starting as complete beginners who had never ridden before, we eventually learned to ride on our own. The scenery was breathtaking and majestic. In Bear Valley and Black Valley, our campsites were always next to rivers, with lush green meadows that felt like stepping into a fairytale. It was deeply relaxing for both body and mind.There were also rugged, rocky trails, but the vast landscapes made everything worthwhile. We rode horses for a total of five days, while the remaining days were spent hiking, visiting waterfalls, climbing Malchin Peak (the fourth-highest mountain in Mongolia), meeting a throat singer, spending time with an eagle hunter, and traveling in an old Russian van.Our guide, Nurgabat, arranged everything for us, He cared most about our safety, and at the same time, his kindness and courage to try new things gave us a truly unique journey. There were countless memorable moments—from the magnificent views, to Chef Beku’s unique meals each day, Driver Altu’s excellent driving skills, the horse and camel guides, and the joyful interactions with the local nomadic families.
