Before even arriving, he was excellent at communicating with me about what I wanted out of my trip to visit western Mongolia. He was able to tailor my trip to include everything I mentioned and more! The pure kindness, hospitality, and genuine love for sharing their culture shined throughout my trip which made it such an immersive and enjoyable experience. He went above and beyond each and every step of the way, from carrying my bags and holding the door open for me, to surprising me with live traditional music at our final dinner! The itinerary he sends lays out exactly what to expect and throughout the trip he would describe and prepare me each step of the way for our day or events we had planned. It made doing everything feel so easy because of how prepared I was to do each thing. He and his team would check on me to make sure I was okay throughout the days which was a great feeling especially as a solo traveler. The ability to adjust plans or change things as needed for things like weather really showed how well experienced they are and kept the trip in great spirits. If I was up for the adventure then so were they! My trip consisted of living with a Kazakh family, learning about the eagle hunters and going to hunt with them, celebrating in the spring festival and eagle hunters festival, joining in the migration with the family to their summer lands, enjoying local cuisine, hearing traditional music, learning about the culture and traditions, and sharing stories with one another. Our cook was absolutely fantastic! Each meal was so well done, tasted excellent, and provided much needed energy for a day full of activities. It was so nice to have a great meal to look forward to after a day full of activities! I was always so impressed! Our driver was excellent as well!! The roads required a skilled driver to really know how to handle them safely, and he absolutely nailed it! They work so well together as a team, that the chemistry makes the trip so easy to just enjoy. From the moment I arrived in Khovd, Nurgabat and his team treated me like family. We ate a delicious turkish meal and took a road trip up to Ulgii. From there we switched to a 4WD van and the adventure began -- think dirt roads, open landscapes, mountains in every direction, and in the middle of nowhere: a few homes. Real, kazakh nomadic families, two of which we stayed with. The first was an eagle hunter with 3 golden eagles who took me hunting every day, scaling mountainsides on horseback in search of foxes. On the second day, his son found one and the eagles ate well. I got lucky with the weather, but even if I didn't, I would have loved my time with Rakhimbyek and his family. We drank copious amounts of milk tea, talked about life, the world, and everything in between. I feel like this trip is the definition of cultural immersion, and is really only possible for a short time before it becomes over-touristed and corners are cut. For now at least, you can trust that any tour you take with Nurgabat and his team, you will be cared for and welcomed like family. I left a friend of everyone I met and would love to return to help with the annual migration (in March), which also sounds special. He made sure all of our needs were catered for, he told us so much information about nomadic cultures and helped us engage with the locals. There are no words that can fittingly describe the experience I had on this tour. It feels wrong to even call it just a tour, for ten days me and my friend were taken to the far western reaches of Mongolia, hundreds of miles from paved roads and cityscapes, and we had the time of our lives. The team that run this are unmatched. Our guide was a local man with over ten years experience running not just this trip but trips all over the country in all seasons. Our driver was equally experienced and took us back and forth through valleys and over mountains with ease. Our cook was accommodating to any dietary requirements we might have and never dished up a bad meal. Every person we met on our journey was kind and welcoming, where there were language barriers there was never any problem as our guide was a very adept and attentive translator and helped us communicate with our hosts and hear their fascinating stories. I don't know where to begin with. Breathtaking pictures, hospitable and friendly people, beautiful pictures unique tastes and songs that felt like coming out of an adventure movie! Nurgabat was there for us to make this one lifetime experience happen! I will never forget the time we spend with the local people of western Mongolia and the two days golden eagle festival. From the colorful Gobi dessert to the snowy mountains of western Mongolia this country has mesmerized me through the whole trip. Despite the long distances and difficult terrain Nurgabat made this journey feel comfortable by preparing every last detail for us and overcoming all obstacles.Posted onVerified 擁抱大自然的旅程 西蒙古是個很原始的地方，遍地是牛、馬、羊和駱駝，景觀遼闊，這趟旅程讓我感覺自己完全地放鬆，身心皆回歸了自然。 導遊也非常照顧我們，一切都以我們意見為主，食物相當豐盛，每一餐都吃得很飽（除了電力方面必需自備太陽能板，以及沒有衛浴以供洗澡）來蒙古前原本擔心會有高山反應，不過行程中海拔高度是漸漸升高的，所以完全不用擔心。總體來說是相當舒適的行程。 來蒙古也是我第一次體驗騎馬，行程中有4到5天都在騎馬，可能是姿勢不對或者褲子太緊的原因，我感覺下身很不舒服，但我的朋友則適應很快，短短幾天就掌握了在馬上保持平衡的訣竅。另外，連接馬鐙的繫帶可以調整長短，它不單只是上下馬的輔助工具，騎在馬上時腳也必須隨時踩在馬鐙上，如果長度太長或太短，長時間騎馬會讓膝蓋和腳踝非常痛苦。 希望下次還有機會來西蒙古，來一趟開車自駕遊！Posted onVerified Best way to experience Mongolia! It was a unique experience! The trip to western Mongolia it is by itself amazing but Nurgabat helped us to experience it with safety and enjoy every single aspect of it. Staying and sharing every day life with local families, listening traditional music performed just for us, hot delicious food all the time, extra blankets when it was too cold are only a few of the good memories of traveling with them. Nurgabat is super friendly, kind, hospitable, caring. He was almost spoiling us, as he was adapting the program to our needs, to our requests, to the weather and to any emergency conditions. He tailored the trip to be more suitable for us and still enjoyed astonishing views. Camping in the white river valley and riding a horse uphill though snowing on the way to see five holy mountains and glaciers was an unforgettable experience.
